Eminem on Gay Marriage

6 Jul

In a recent interview with Deborah Solomon of the New York Times, Eminem came out in support of gay marriage. Via Towleroad, the rapper’s rather touching words on the subject:

NYT: You’ve been accused of writing gay-bashing lyrics in the past. Would you like to see gay marriage approved in Michigan, where you live?

EMINEM: I think if two people love each other, then what the hell? I think that everyone should have the chance to be equally miserable, if they want.

–> Reminds me of my mother’s views on gay marriage, which she’s not so much for as she is insistent that “gay people should have to get married.” Her logic? “I had to; they should have to.”
