Fun With Maps

Our fellow NYU student-blogger over at Zy-Va recently brought our attention to these two maps. Take a look:

The font is small, so Kate provides this little guide-

  • In “red” states, you can marry your cousin and live there happily ever after.
  • In “orange” states, you can’t marry your cousin, but if you do it elsewhere, the state will recognize it.
  • In “purple” states, you can marry your cousin, but as Mother Jones states it, there are “caveats.”

and nicely juxtaposes it with this graph:
